Equine 74 CalmRelax is intended to be used as a short-term and quick solution in situations that can be perceived as stressful for the horse. Examples of such situations are transport, competitions, veterinary visits, etc.

What CalmRelax does is that it mixes with the stomach acid to form a gel-like substance that creates a protective barrier and covers the stomach contents, preventing the acid from reaching its sensitive areas. This protective barrier is then dissolved and excreted directly from the intestine without being absorbed into the blood. The positive effect of Equine 74 Calmrelax will be felt within a few minutes and is active during the time the paste is in the stomach.

Equine 74 CalmRelax is particularly suitable for horses that are prone to stress, have a sensitive stomach or irritated mucous membrane and/or react sensitively to new or stressful situations. Stressful situations mean an increased production of stomach acid in horses, which attacks the stomach lining. Such situations may include, for example, competitions, transport, boarding of young horses or weaning of foals.

The paste is very tasty with added stevia and vanilla. Depending on the outside temperature, the paste will be thicker or thinner and somewhat different to handle. On cold days, it can be good to warm the tube in your hands to make the paste easier to handle.
