Pro Sun Shade fly mask from Shires in a durable, breathable material that protects against flies, insects and dust while providing a very high level of protection from the sun’s rays. The design is specifically developed for sun sensitive horses and those with light pigmentation.
The fly mask features a visor that shades the eyes from strong sunlight and mesh over the eyes that filters UV while maintaining good visibility. It has a full coverage nose that protects the nose and nostrils from sun and insects, along with ears in a ventilated material that allows airflow while protecting against insects.
The fly mask has elastic at the poll and fastens with Velcro under the jaw. The inside has soft bindings at the seams to help reduce the risk of rubbing while fitting closely to the head to prevent insects from getting inside. The material provides over 90% UV protection.
