Equine 74 Gastric is a feed supplement developed to bind excess stomach acid and support a more balanced gastric environment. It is based on a natural raw material in the form of red algae (Lithothamnion glaciale), which is rich in minerals and has a high capacity to buffer stomach acid.
The unique structure of this marine algae allows it to act like a “sponge” in the stomach, absorbing excess acid. This helps protect the stomach lining and maintain a more stable pH level. At the same time, it reduces the risk of feed passing into the intestine in an overly acidic state, which could otherwise negatively affect the gut microbiota.
The red algae naturally contains high levels of calcium and magnesium in a form that is easily absorbed by the horse.
