Kieselgold from St. Hippolyt is a feed supplement with a naturally high silicon content, developed to support connective tissue, hoof quality and coat condition. Silicon is an important building block in structures such as tendons, ligaments, cartilage and hoof horn. As horses cannot produce silicon themselves, it needs to be supplied through their diet.
Kieselgold is based on diatomaceous earth, which is naturally rich in silicic acid and silicon. The supplement is particularly suitable during periods when the horse needs additional support for hoof growth and connective tissue, or during coat changes. The added blend of oils also helps promote a soft and glossy coat.
Kieselgold also contains turmeric and isomaltulose. Isomaltulose has a prebiotic effect and supports the gut microbiome while also improving palatability and consistency.
