Care advice - Icebug 

When it's icy and slippery outside, there's not much that beats a pair of Icebugs. But don't forget to take care of them properly!
Icebug themselves have developed tips on how to clean, care for and protect your shoes.

Leather 

Clean dry shoes with a shoe brush. Use cleaning foam on tough stains.

Treat with oily paste that re-oils the leather. Light-colored shoes may darken slightly with this shoe care treatment. For oiled leather, apply shoe cream and let dry for 10 min. Then brush the shoe polish into the leather.

Use impregnation spray to give the shoes a water-repellent surface. However, this is a substitute for proper shoe care where polishing with cream and polish/wax is included.

Suede 

Clean the shoes with a suede brush or cleaning stone. Note, however, that suede is slightly more sensitive than regular leather. 

Use liquid shoe cream for suede and nubuck and leave on for 10 min. Then rough up the surface with a suede brush. 

Use impregnation spray and let it dry. Then brush up the suede with a brush when the shoe is dry. The impregnation can be repeated for an even better result.

Textile 

Stains can be sanded away with a cleaning stone or cleaning foam. It is not recommended to put textile shoes in the washing machine, as the glue can come off. 

For white textile shoes, a full coverage and liquid shoe cream with white color pigment can be used. 

Use a thin layer of impregnation spray that is preferably also suitable for textiles. Let dry. Can be repeated for extra protective results.

Tips! 

Additional tips are to let the shoes rest sometimes and use other shoes from time to time. An insole can also be used to protect the inside of the shoes and improve comfort and fit. When the shoes are resting, a tip is to use wooden shoe blocks because wood has a high absorption capacity.
