The Pronamic snaffle bit from Sprenger was developed by bit expert Heiko Schmidt-Sentek in close collaboration with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Benjamin Werndl – with a focus on the needs of modern sport horses in both dressage and showjumping.
This single jointed snaffle features an anatomically and ergonomically designed mouthpiece with a forward-angled port that provides improved support and contact without becoming too sharp. The design encourages horses to step more willingly into the contact and to maintain an elevated, supple frame through the neck. Pronamic is therefore ideal for horses that have correctly completed their basic training and are ready for more advanced work.
Unlike traditional bits, the Pronamic relieves pressure on the bars of the lower jaw, making it particularly suitable for sensitive horses or those with a thinner tongue. Its special design also makes it effective for horses that tend to get strong – for example, those that pull towards obstacles and tighten through the neck. The bit allows the rider to have a more effective influence without having to apply excessive pressure, reducing the risk of overreactions such as head tossing or evading the bit – ultimately improving harmony between horse and rider.
Features:
- Anatomically shaped single jointed bit with forward-angled port
- Promotes self-carriage and contact in an elevated, balanced frame
- Gentle on sensitive mouths and horses with thin tongues
- Effective yet mild influence – ideal for horses that tighten the neck or pull strongly towards obstacles
- Developed in collaboration with the world elite in dressage and showjumping
