The Sprenger Turnado two-part bit has, in order to avoid uneven pressure on the outer parts/ pressure up the palate in the horse's mouth, designed with a 45° forward angle.

Characteristic of two-part bits is that one side of the mouth is longer than the other, which can put more pressure on one side of the horse's outer mouth. To prevent uneven pressure, it is recommended to turn the bit at regular intervals.
