Chondro® is a complementary feed for both sport horses in training and competition as well as for older horses, and it is used to improve joint condition. Glucosamine, in combination with chondroitin and manganese, has a beneficial effect on the cartilage, while hyaluronic acid helps maintain the density of the synovial fluid.
In horses, just as in humans, the body’s own production of these vital nutrients decreases with age, which is why Chondro® Bas is recommended for the older horse.
Friska Leder also recommends giving Chondro® Bas together with Conquest Every Day for intensively trained and competing horses, as well as for horses that have previously been treated in one or more joints.
An updated version of Chondrogen® 100 PRO, Chondro® Bas contains a higher level of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid compared to Chondrogen® 100 PRO. Chondro® Bas also has added Vitamin D, which plays an important role in calcium metabolism in the skeleton.
Chondro® Bas is manufactured in Sweden.
