The supplement combines glucosamine, hyaluronic acid, manganese and methionine in a carefully formulated blend that provides both preventative and supportive benefits for the horse’s musculoskeletal system.
Support for joints, cartilage and synovial fluid
Glucosamine is a natural building block in the body and plays a key role in the formation and maintenance of cartilage, tendons and joints. With increasing age or during intensive training, the horse’s natural production of glucosamine may decrease, making supplementation particularly beneficial. BioGlucomin+HA contains glucosamine HCl, a highly bioavailable and effective form of glucosamine.
The added hyaluronic acid helps maintain the lubricating and shock-absorbing properties of the synovial fluid. This product contains hyaluronic acid with a very high molecular weight (1,300,000 Da), which is essential for optimal joint function. Studies in competition horses have shown that daily supplementation with high molecular weight hyaluronic acid may help support normal joint function over time.
Additional nutritional support for optimal effect:
- Manganese: Essential for the formation of new cartilage
- Methionine: A readily available source of sulphur, required for cartilage development
- Inulin (prebiotic): Supports a healthy gut flora and promotes optimal nutrient absorption
Feeding instructions:
Mix into the concentrate feed and feed in conjunction with normal feeding, divided into two daily servings.
