Trikem Gastro is specifically formulated for horses that have undergone veterinary treatment for gastric ulcers or are suspected of having ulcers. It is also suitable for horses with a history of gastric issues during stressful periods such as travel or environmental changes, as well as in connection with medication that affects the digestive system.

Gastro contains a high level of lecithin, a naturally occurring substance in the horse’s body. Together with polysaccharides, lecithin forms a protective barrier in the stomach that helps shield the mucosa from gastric acid. A high concentration of lecithin is essential for optimal effect, making Gastro an effective support for horses with sensitive stomachs.

The product also contains Maerl, a natural red algae that helps stabilise the pH level in the stomach. Maerl works both quickly and over a prolonged period, contributing to a more balanced gastric environment and reducing the risk of irritation.

Added prebiotics nourish beneficial gut bacteria, support a balanced intestinal flora, and promote healthy digestion.

Dosage:
15 ml (10 g) per 100 kg body weight per day.
For the first 10 days, a double dose is recommended, followed by the standard dosage. Mix dry with the feed just before feeding (do not soak).
